Not just one! There's Long Sands Beach, Short Sands Beach, The Harbor Beach, and Cape Neddick Beach.
Long Sands Beach is a beautiful 1.5 mile sandy beach located on US Route 1A. Long Sands Beach is the beach is a gentle sloping beach,
great for swimming, sunbathing, creating sandcastles and tide pooling. Great for kids! There's even a surfing area where you can take advantage of the waves when "Surf's UP".
Short Sands Beach, as its name describes, is a ¼ mile. Short Sands Beach is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, a playground, an arcade as well as an amusement park, York's Wild Kingdom.
The Harbor Beach is as quaint as the Harbor itself, a favorite of many locals. From Harbor Beach you can hike the Cliff Walk, a short 1.2-mile path that overlooking the beach and the ocean. Nearby, you can also access the Fisherman's Walk to connect to the Wiggly Bridge that leads into Steedman Woods trail.
Cape Neddick Beach, also known as Passaconaway Beach, is a small tidal beach with limited space, but unlimited appeal. This beach is located on Shore Road near the mouth of Cape Neddick Harbor. This beach is best visited during low tide since there is little access at high tide. Very limited road parking is available.
